Customer Satisfaction in Telecommunication Sector †Free Samples

Question: Discuss about Customer Satisfaction in the Telecommunication Sector. Answer: Introduction: Marketing mixes of companies play significant roles in earning them customer satisfaction and revenue generation. The fact holds more appropriate for service sector where customer satisfaction creation is more challenging owing to the intangible nature of services like telecommunication services. The telecommunication sector in the UK has become deadly competitive and require these forming marketing mixes. The paper would delve into the importance of marketing mix in creating customers satisfaction with emphasis on the telecommunication sector in the UK. It opens with a research qustion followed by sections that proceed in th ligt of .the question. Research question: Why is marketing mix important for customer satisfaction in telecommunication service sector? The question is very pertinent today because of the intense competition in the service sector in the UK and the need of the service providing companies to sustain in the face of this competition. The situation has been aggravated due to the need of the telecommunication companies to give positive return to their shareholders and gain financial sustainability simultaneously. This pressure has compelled them to bring about changes in the marketing mixes to ensure customer satisfaction and serve maximum customers, thus generating maximum revenue and lower cost at the same time. These challenges have made the question very pertinent (Hsiao, Lee and Chen 2015). Five factors supporting the importance of marketing mix in customer satisfaction: The five factors supporting the validity of marketing mix in attaining customer satisfaction: Intense competition: The telecommunication companies today in order to gain high competitive position form marketing mixes which ensures maximum customer satisfaction. The marketing mixes are composed of affordable products which serve multiple needs of the customers at affordable rates, thereby maximizing customer satisfaction and profit generation simultaneously. Thus, marketing mixes enable companies to sustain in the intense competition (Ashok, Day and Narula 2017). Cost cutting: The telecommunication companies are under continuous pressure to cut their costs to attain financial sustainability. Again, their marketing mixes allow them to offer low priced yet multipurpose product bundling like talk time and data packs with affordable prices. These bundles ensure that the customers are satisfied and generate revenue for the companies on continuous basis. The companies as a result are able to diversify the expenses over the revenue base, thus lowering their cost to revenue ratio and enhancing profits percentage (Mattson et al. 2017). Shareholder expectations: The shareholders invest in the shares of the telecommunication companies and expect return on investment (ROI). The telecommunication companies are under continuous pressure to give high ROI in spite of cost cutting. Formidable marketing mixes and consequent customer satisfaction enable them to earn high profit which allows them to give high ROI to investors and attract more investment (Bezemer et al. 2015). Sustainability: The telecommunication companies are under continuous pressure to gain sustainability and reduce their environmental impacts. They, in order to attain this objective install windmills and waste management plants which attract costs. The high level of customer satisfaction through market mixes ensure that these companies earn high revenue, a portion of which they can allocate towards these sustainable investments. Thus, customer satisfaction and marketing mix pave ways for companies to attain environmental sustainability (Holden, Linnerud and Banister 2017). Brand equity: Brand equity is very important for companies to earn high profits in the intensely competitive telecommunication market. The telecommunication companies today ensure customer satisfaction with their marketing mixes which attributes them with high brand equity. Thus, marketing mix and resultant customer satisfaction are important for companies to gain brand equity (Le Blanc 2015). Figure 1. Figure showing factors supporting importance of marketing mix (Source: Author) Brief of the marketing mix theory: The marketing mix is a marketing theory which is composed of the following elements: Product: Products refer to the items which satisfy customer needs and can be purchased in the market. Products may be tangible (goods) or intangible (services) and should be aimed to meet the needs of the customers. For example, the telecommunication companies operating in the UK offer communication packages consisting of talk time and data packs to meet the needs of the consumers in the United Kingdom. This appropriate product mix ensures customer satisfaction and consequent revenue generation (O'Cass and Heirati 2015). Pricing: The second important component of the marketing mix theory which ensures high degree of customer satisfaction is pricing strategies of the companies. The telecommunication companies use pricing as a formidable tool to create satisfaction for both business and domestic customers. They use low pricing strategy to suit the limited income of the domestic customers and high pricing but low rates for business customers. This efficient pricing enable the telecommunication companies satisfy both domestic and business customers in the United Kingdom (Le Blanc 2015). Place: The third important component of marketing mix theory is place which ensures that the customers can avail the products (services in this case) easily. The telecommunication companies in the UK today have increased their presence to ensure round the clock services to customers and maximisation of their satisfaction. The telecommunication packages are available both at the brick-and-mortar stores and on the official websites of the companies. Thus, place plays a significant role in ensuring customer satisfaction and revenue generation (O'Cass and Heirati 2015). Promotion: Promotion is very significant because it allows the companies to create continuous demand for their products in the market and market them to generate revenue. The telecommunication companies promote their products on the internet, in the newspapers and on television in the UK. This allows the customers to find products to suit their needs, thus maximising their customer satisfaction level. Thus, promotion plays a very significant role in creation of customer satisfaction and business generation of the telecommunication companies (Bezemer et al. 2015). Two research hypothesis: The two research hypotheses are: The null hypothesis would be, there is no relationship between marketing mix and customer satisfaction in the telecommunication sector. The alternative hypothesis would show that there is relationship between marketing mix and customer satisfaction in the telecommunication sector. The hypotheses are directional in nature. This is because the researcher would aim to establish negative or positive relationship between the two items considered. Operation of hypothesis: The operation of the hypothesis is as follows: Definition of the concepts (conceptual definitions): The concept of customer satisfaction can be defined as the measure of firms capacity to surpass the expectations of the customers with their products (goods and services). The concept of marketing mix can be defined as the combination of factors like products and pricing which business organisations use to satisfy their customers (Zablah et al. 2016). Operational definitions of the two hypotheses: Customer satisfaction can be defined as the rate of satisfaction which companies aim to create and maximise by combining operational factors like quality and quantity. The marketing mix can be defined as combination of these operational factors or variables to ensure and enhance customer satisfaction. Instruction of creation of dependent and independent variable: The following are the instruction of creation of dependent and independent variables in creating of customer satisfaction: The telecommunication companies should first choose their marketing mixes. They should choose the factors like STP and promotional strategies as per their profit targets. Effectiveness of the variables: The variables should be effective in achieving customer satisfaction and revenue maximisation. The independent variable like quality, cost and telecommunication package features should aim towards attainment of the dependent variables like profit and customer satisfaction. Dependent and independent variable applied in the hypothesis: The dependent variables in the hypothesis would be profit, customer satisfaction and customer loyalty. The independent variables would be quality, price, cost and features (Le Blanc 2015). Unit of analysis: The unit of analysis to measure customer satisfaction would be positive ratings received from customers or CSAT. The number of repeat sales would also prove the level of customer satisfaction earned by the telecommunication companies in the UK (Bezemer et al. 2015). Conclusion: One can conclude from the discussion that marketing mixes in the telecommunication companies play significant role in attainment of customer satisfaction. These companies must emphasise on aligning their marketing mixes with the requirements of the customers to enhance this satisfaction level. This would enable them to raise their revenue margin and strengthen their positions in the market. Their marketing mixes should incorporate the customer factors like their income and future needs to ensure repeat business. The marketing mixes should not only help the companies to earn revenue but also strengthen their brand values. References: Ashok, M., Day, M. and Narula, R., 2017. The prime system of the administration of the association is to enhance the creation strategy of the organization and to give bette r quality items or administrations to the buyers of the organization. the following thing that the administration of the organization ought to do is to dissect the prerequisite and the requirements of the clients. for that, the administration of the association would need to play out a solid and effective client investigation. this will help the association to get all the data on the clients of the organization. after the examination the administration of the association can continue to plan their items or their administrations in agreement to the need and the inclinations of the clients of the organization. the most vital perspective that the administration of the association would need to take after is the behavioral part of the company(Beard, 2007). on the off chance that the administration or the representatives of the organization carries on inconsiderately with the clients of the organization, they would be frustrated and subsequently they would not give positive criticism to the organization or the overseeing bureau of the organization. hence for the improvement of the correspondence of the clients with the administration and the workers of the organization, they would need to keep up the behavioral perspective. These are the prime and the most critical techniques that the overseeing branch of the organization must take after for the improvement of the advertising of the company(Bel i Queralt, 2012). During the time spent the advancement of the advertising the most essential part is played by the administration of the organization and they would need to be upheld by the workers of the organization. the parts and the obligations of the troughs and the representatives of the organization are specified in the following entries. Other than the administration of the association, the workers would likewise need to assume a huge part really taking shape of a superior open connection. As the organization will undoubtedly give better quality items to the buyers of the organization, the representatives of the organization would need to buckle down for the improvement of the creation strategy of the organization. the representatives of the organization ought to dependably be committed towards their work and faithful to the organization or the administration of the organization(Bhagwati, 2001). In the event that the representatives of the organization don't work as indicated by the necessities of the clients, they would not have the capacity to get accomplishment in improving an open connection for the organization. then again the representatives of the organization would need to keep up a decent and lovely correspondence with the clients to fulfill their requirements. On the off chance that the workers of the organization ca keep up all the said rules appropriately, they would most likely have the capacity to get accomplishment in their business and making the general population connection of the organization better and changed by taking after a portion of the certain and particular guidelines(Bhagwati, 2001). Impact of public relation strategies on any organization Public relation strategy is actually depended on the communication system of a particular business. It can be described in this way that effective communication system can take the business scenario to a different level of success. The management department of the company must be aware of the communication system in order to continue an effective run in the business field. Communication among different levels of employee can make the work more suitable for the organization. It can be elaborated in this way that a team can only work fluently if there is an effective communicative system inside the organization premises(Bhagwati, 2001). The managers must always be in touch with the employees. The leaders must also build effective communicative system inside the organization in order to help the employees out in difficult situations. The main aspect of public relation actually belongs to the communication system with the customers in the market. It can be described in this way that a bu siness must have effective communicating system to be connected with the target customer always. It will make the customers feel good and the products of the business will capture the market easily. The positive impact of the business on the customers may help the business to expand the business span. Other customers will also get to know about the business once the business is expanded(Campling, 2008). The impact of public relation on the organization can be effective enough and it can motivate the organization and its employees in an effective way. It can be said that the organization always has a particular motto of capturing the major portion of the market with its products. They know if the communication system is constructed perfectly then it can be assumed that the business is all set to be effective in the market. It is so because a perfect communication can lift the work of whole team up. Every single member of the team can work efficiently and frequently if the communication process is set perfectly. Proper communication can elaborate the needs and criteria of different employees at different stages of work. It will increase the employee satisfaction level in a perfect way and if the employee satisfaction level is maintained then one can say that the employees will also give their full effort in the working field. Moreover, effective communication with the customers will a lso help the members of the organization(Campling, 2008). The employees and workers will get to know about the criteria of the customers and they will specify the products and produce them according to the needs of the customers. After everything it can be seen that effective communication system can lift the performance of the organization to a different level from where the employees and workers of the company can work hard and efficiently to maintain the positive impact of the organization(Campling, 2008). Impact on the public The public in this case are considered as the customers of a particular business. It can be assumed that the customers and the management department of the company must have a perfect relation in order to make the business scenario perfect. There is always an expectation from the businesses from the point of view of the customers. The customers expect that the business will generate the products according to their criteria and demand. That is where the needs of communication occur. A proper communication among the customers and the managers of different companies help the companies to make products according to the demand of the customers. Moreover, the feedbacks from the customers can be gathered easily if a perfect relation is maintained among them(Chaffey, 2011). Depending on their feedbacks the company will be able to make the amendments in the products. It will be beneficial for both parties. The customers will be happy to see the updated version of a particular product and the company will also be satisfied after delivering the perfect products to the customers. It is the effectiveness of public relation that always encourages different customers to use servitudes of different businesses and the businesses gain all the benefits from the customers while satisfying their demands. There are many issues in public relation that can be taken under the matters of concern. These issues can take the fact public relation to a different level. The issues in public relation are as follows, There is a fact of credibility in the public relation. In the 20th century the public relation professionals could hardly get access to media outlets. The PR messages were shown on the screens at that time in order to reach the target audience(Chaffey, 2011). In the initial stages of 21st century the process has taken a new turnaround and the impact of internet has come into play. It can be said that the in the present days, anyone with an internet connection can easily access the PR messages and they can get a message out in no time. If the business is a small business then one can say the owner of the business must establish his or her own credibility while putting out a message(Zimmerman, 2003). In the present days there are multiple channels where the PR messages can be posted in order to reach the target audience(Weintraub, 2011). There are various paths for the PR messages to reach the target audience. The company must follow the rules of sending text messages to the young customers. For the parents of those young people the company must choose the email option and they must follow old conventional way of news paper printing messages for the old customers. The messages must be set in a proper way in order to suit the method of distribution(Chaffey, 2011). The impact of social media is effective enough these days. It can be assumed that the uses of social media have become very frequent these days and the PR messages can be effective if they are posted in social media(Cleary, 2012). Prevention of the issues For the counteractive action of the said issues, there are some essential and most helpful rules that organization or the overseeing branch of He Company would need to take after. The fundamental issue is connected with the behavioral part of the company(Cleary, 2012). in this manner the administration of the organization and also the workers of the organization would need to be more careful about the behavioral part of the organization. Emergency administration is an expert way to deal with taking care of the emergencies that surfaced with associations and individuals who are regularly in the general population eye. Emergency administration is one of the uncommon domains of the specialty of advertising. Advertising advisors are prepared in expressions of the human experience of emergency administration. A crisis is a negative occasion. A crisis is when something awful, undesirable, or repulsive happens. ( The word emergency originates from the Greek krisis, which means decision. We' ve all been there. Those minutes when we're squeezed in a moment to choose a course of action(Cleary, 2012). Move to one side, or move to one side. Battle or escape. Offer a clarification, or sham up tight. In the assessment of the Institute for Crisis Management an emergency is a huge business disturbance that animates broad news media scope. The subsequent open examination will influence the association's typical operations. In addition, it could have political, lawful, money related and government affect on its business(Wynne, 2007).. Likewise, an emergency might be characterized as any circumstance that is undermining or could debilitate to mischief individuals or property, genuinely intrude on business, harm notoriety or contrarily affect share value(Khagram, Fung and De Renzio, 2013). A crisis, in advertising terms, is any occasion that draws exceptional, negative media scope and meddles with ordinary business movement; or a very upsetting battle or struggle inside an ill-disp osed environment(Connolly, 2011). It is set apart by a conceivably harming defining moment that could bring about monetary or mortal calamity after which things will never be the same. It can be highlighted the contrast between an issue and an emergency. The distinction can be comprehended on the premise of five parameters like speed, surfacing, investigation, structure and position. An emergency happens rapidly, abruptly and requests extreme investigation while an issue grows bit by bit and creates sporadic premiums from the audience(Connolly, 2011). An association's structure should be inflexible amid an emergency, then again, in the event of a 4 issue, it ought to be liquid. The position ought to be responsive in an emergency circumstance while on account of an issue, an association ought to be proactive. The advertising professionals ought to likewise comprehend the connection between the two. Emergency and issues are not two unique substances, rather they share a profound rela tionship(Davidson and Matusz, 2010). One can state that if an issue is not overseen opportune, it can bring about an emergency. At the end of the day, when an issue raises, it might turn into an emergency. Recommendation As mentioned earlier, the prime responsibility would have to be taken by the management or the leaders of the company in order to develop the public relations and the communication between the company and the consumers of the company(Jones, 2013). the management of the company would have to be more cautious about the service quality of the company which they are going to provide to the customers of the company. these are the basic things which will help the management of the company to get better(Horowitz and Plewes, 2005). Conclusion From the above report it is quite clear that the public relation is something that the management of the company must always be concerned of for the betterment or the development of the business of the organization. if the management of the company cannot take the right action regarding the public relation of the company, they would never be able to bring change or modification in their company. Thus it is the responsibility of the management of the company to implement the required strategies that will help the company in order to get success in a short span of time. The above report has explained all the information about the public relation strategies that a management of a certain organization should use for the sake of their more profit. The issues that occur in the workplace due to the public relations is also mentioned along with the ways that will help the company or the managing department of the company to get rid of the issues from the organization. Now it is the time for the management of the company to follow all the mentioned guidelines with proper care and skill. If the managing department of the organization can follow the guidelines it will be easier for them to deal with the consumers or the public. Good communication with consumers will also help the management of the company to satisfy the needs of their customers and as a result the customers will give positive feedback to the company or the management of the company which will surely turn beneficial for the company or the business of the company. These are the main and the prime things or factors that the management of the company would have to abide by for the improvement of the company. References Beard, J. Prevention Program Lifestyle Intervention †MyAssignmenthelp.com

Question: Discuss about the Prevention Program Lifestyle Intervention. Answer: Introduction: Diabetes is such a disease which does not show much symptoms. Therefore, the people affected by it may be unaware about its presence till the time when the disease takes a really serious form. The Prime Minister of Singapore Mr. Lee Hsien Loong has very relevantly taken up the issue on a serious note on the National Day Rally Speech. The Prime Minister was quoted as saying You may not think that diabetes is a major problem, but in fact, it is very serious in Singapore, particularly so for older people but increasingly for younger Singaporeans. The Prime Minister quite rightly took up the issue as diabetes is becoming a serious problem throughout the globe, and not just the people of advanced age, but also the younger generation are facing the threat. World Health Orgnisation defines diabetes as Diabetes is a chronic, metabolic disease characterized by elevated levels of blood glucose (or blood sugar), which leads over time to serious damage to the heart, blood vessels, eyes, kidneys, and nerves. The most common is type 2 diabetes, usually in adults, which occurs when the body becomes resistant to insulin or doesn't make enough insulin. In the past three decades the prevalence of type 2 diabetes has risen dramatically in countries of all income levels. Type 1 diabetes, once known as juvenile diabetes or insulin-dependent diabetes, is a chronic condition in which the pancreas produces little or no insulin by itself. (Who.int, 2018) In Britain recent reports have suggested that the number of people with diabetes have increased dramatically and the numbers have become double in the past 20 years. The present approximate number of people who have diabetes and living in Britain is around 3.7 to 3.8 billion (Straitstimes.com, 2018). This data is published by an organization called Diabetes UK which is a charitable trust for the purpose of reducing the effect of the disease. The reason because diabetes does not show any kind of symptoms in the beginning stage therefore early intervention in the disease is often not possible. The patients affected by the disease themselves do not know that they have been affected. The two kinds off diabetes that are found are type 1 diabetes and type 2 diabetes, in the first case there is lack of insulin production in the Pancreas and in the 2nd case the produced Insulin is not utilized by the body properly. In India as well the diabetes scenario is quite grim. The countrys 6 percent population is critically suffering from diabetes and the number involves more than 1.3 million people. The data was published Journal of the American Medical Association (Jama) Internal Medicine (Straitstimes.com, 2018). However, the rates are not as staggering as in United States and China. The uncontrolled life of the people in India which includes high rate of alcoholism, tobacco use, eating oil and sugar rich food, and lack of access to quality health products are some of the factors behind such rise. In Singapore, the rate of diabetes is increasing at such a speed that the government decided to take earliest actions to control it. It is decided that there will be an additional input of 15 million dollars which will be used to develop and manufacture low sugar level drinks and food. It is decided that there will be a task force that will take care in reducing the number of hand and leg amputation because of small wounds getting very serious and not getting healed due to diabetes. This country has one of the highest rates of amputation cases among diabetes patients and the ratio is 180 operations among every 100000 diabetic patients. The task force will ensure that there is greater awareness about diabetes and what care should be taken by patients who are already affected by the problem. "About three in four Singapore residents aged 65 and above are affected by diabetes, high cholesterol or hypertension, or a combination of the three," the Health Minister Gan Kim Yong was quoted as saying in the discussion on his ministry's budget. The Straits Times interviewed two patients who have been suffering of diabetes for a long time and one expert who has been dealing with the disease in its most critical form. Mrs. Wilson is 30 years old who is suffering from diabetes since last 2 years. In her case she was lucky enough that the problem was diagnosed at an early stage and required medical intervention helped in successfully containing the problem. When she was asked about the problems she faces everyday some of the main problems she talked about was weakness, inability in maintaining a normal diet, and poly-urea, among other problems. It is strange that a lady of 30 years is affected by diabetes and many people would naturally think that it is an age too early to be affected with such a complication. However, there are cases that happen in even at earlier ages. John Benjamin who is just 25 years old is already diabetic and faces several complications including severe weaknesses. He is lethargic to do any kind of tasks that include physical exertions. He was asked about the medications he is going through. John told our representatives that the primary medicine in his case is extreme precaution. A cautious lifestyle prevents further escalation of the disease. Apart from that he has to go through regular medications. He has type 2 diabetes that can be controlled by controlled diet and some minor medications. Patients with type 1 diabetes have to administer insulin daily into their body to ensure that there is no shortage of insulin. The Straits Times decided to consult a specialist who deals with diabetic patients daily so that the problem can be known properly. Specialist Warren Lim emphatically stated that one of the main reasons that has resulted in such situation where even the younger generation is affected by diabetes is because of uncontrolled lifestyle. Todays youth are leading a life that is very unruly. They do not exercise. They eat lots of unhealthy food, which are mostly harmful for the body. They indulge in activities like drinking, smoking and other forms of intoxication. The young generations get very less sleep, and most of the time they are either sitting in front of the computers or are looking into their phones. All this is taking a toll on the health of the young generation. And diabetes is one of the main problems that arise out of such lifestyle. When asked about the preventive measures the expert pointed out The main precautionary measure is to alter your lifestyle. The food habits must b e controlled. Less calorie food with lesser amount of sugar in them needs to be consumed. One must make sure that most part of the diet is composed of fruits and vegetables. Apart from that the youth must indulge in alcoholism and smoking as less as possible, it is best to not consume alcohol or smoke. WHO states that There is a globally agreed target to halt the rise in diabetes and obesity by 2025. In order to achieve such targets all nations worldwide should work towards ways of reducing the menace by awareness and prevention. The general public needs to control their lifestyles in order to prevent diabetes from affecting their lives. It is time that there is a united effort in uprooting diabetes. Sebastian Butler Essays (254 words) - United States, Time

Sebastian Butler Mr. Hosman AP Government 6 October 2016 Federalist vs. Anti-Federalist The U.S Constitution established America's national government and fundamental laws, and guaranteed certain basic rights for its citizens. The supporters' of the Constitution were the Federalist. Their name implied a commitment to a loose, decentralized system of government. Unlike the Federalist, the Anti-Federalist, were the total opposite. They were opposed to the creation of a stronger federal government and later opposed the ratification of the Constitution. The Federalist wanted a stronger national government and promoted economic growth and relations with Great Britain. The Anti-Federalist did not want a stronger national government and instead wanted a stronger state government. The Federalist wanted an indirect election of officials and longer terms for the officials. The Anti-Federalist wanted direct election of officials with shorter terms. The Federalist also wanted to have a government by the elite and to have weaker state governments. The Anti-Federalist disagreed with that and wanted a government that was ruled by the common man and wanted the state governments to have more power. Finally the Federalist expected a few violations of individual liberties, which the Anti-Federalist wanted to strengthen the protection for individual liberties of the people. This is why the Federalist were for the New Constitution and why the Anti-Federalist were against it. It supported the strong national governmen t and the indirect election of officials with few protected liberties of the people, which the Anti-Federalist totally disagreed with it and were against the Constitution.
